Description

As you may know my Tsuki passed away and so I took the advice of looking for a new fellow and grabbed my boyfriend to look for one. But we went looking for an hamster. So I did I got a guinea pig?
Long story...

We took the bus to the place I got Tsuki from. It was still there and the owner was the same lady. I asked her for hamsters and she said they didn't had them anymore and didn't knew if they would. After all, they're an aquarium shop and they sell fishs, they usually only had a couple of hamsters on the back so I believe no one knew they had hams and they stopped having them.
We walked a lot to the next place. Surprise! It wasn't even there anymore... This wasn't an happy day.
Well, we went to the bus stop again and waited half an hour for the bus... No sign of it...
More walking to take another bus. A "super expensive ticket" bus ._.

This was the last place we knew of. Would there be hamsters at least?
The bus stopped far away... We walked again... Carrying a paper bag with a small cage inside and our own stuff we were tired of walking.
Finally got there. My boyfriend went to the toilet and I said I would wait for him in front of the place.
What is my surprise when I see empty windows with only wheels inside... I think my heart stopped. I felt so tired and lonely. Kept thinking about Tsuki. "How is she now?" I thought. Colorful birds and two guinea pigs looked at me. I sighed.
I sat myself on a couch and hold the cage. "Where the hell are all the hamsters?" I thought.
Then my boyfriend reappeared. I stood up and said there weren't there either.
He looked surprised as well.
We went in. I asked the woman if they would have any hamsters. She said she didn't knew when, they were supposed to have them that week but no one sent them.
I was tired. I said that was the 3rd place and hamsters seem to have disappeared from the face of earth.
She said they had them on the other town... But I remember asking which ones. And she said roborovskis... I said they were too "unclam" for me.
I looked at the guinea pigs again. I said I would like to leave with a new friend but I had no idea how to take care for a guinea pig. So she said they were a lot easier than hamsters. She gave me one and grabbed another. "Well, is not that I don't like them..." I thought.
I actualy thought they would smell, but they didn't. After asking a ton of questions I thought of, I left with a scared guinea pig to catch the bus. Twice.
She did not enjoyed the ride. Not at all.

Anyway, useless to say she is still shy and scared and speedy. She will grow bigger because she is still a "baby".

DISCLAIMER:

It is the first time I've a guinea pig at home.
I would like to let her have stuff but the woman told me she would try to eat the hamster toys and that wouldn't play with any of them ._.

PLEASE, IF YOU KNOW ANY TIPS AND PLACES TO BUY GUINEA PIG STUFF, TELL ME.
I looked for it but I don't find anything fun or good looking.
Thank you.

AWW! She's adorable

I've got three piggies of my own, I can tell you where I get their stuff.

Guinea pigs are social; I strongly suggest getting her a friend if you can.

I don't usually buy guinea pig toys because they easily get bored with them. However, there's a simple way to make something entertaining for them to play with-Take a paper towel tube, cut it in half, and place treats inside. They like to figure out how to get to things.

As for where to find supplies, Petsmart is the best place to find specialty piggy items, but Walmart and Target carry piggy kibble and timothy hay relatively cheap. Also, I found that fleece blankets make comfy bedding and are easy to clean. You just cut them into fourths and arrange them in the cage.

I hope I could help. You have a very special and sweet pet.
